"Brains are
often better than strength or size."

Our school called "Think City" is a major part of the Wediko program. Every child is assigned to a small teaching group (6-8 students) based on academic abilities and classroom behavior. All the children meet for 1 hour and 45 minutes for five days per week.
Think City's primary educational goal is to maintain end-of-year achievement levels. Just as important, Wediko teaching staff focus on building communication and study skill behaviors which are essential for adequate classroom participation.
Wediko's teachers are assigned to the children's teams and are directly connected with our experiential educational activities. This inter disciplinary approach ensures that gains in one area of learning are continuously supported and augmented by other areas of learning.
The multi-faceted Wediko psycho educational program is designed to help children gain self-control and self-confidence. Fortified by such gains, many students are often able to risk challenging themselves in more formal areas of learning. For example, mastering a new swimming stroke may provide the boost in self-esteem necessary to tolerate accepting help in long division. The goal is to break the cycle of negative expectations, low frustration tolerance and failure-ridden performance.
