Integrated Programming For Life’s Challenges
We know that trauma, loss, and stress can be isolating – our community’s response shouldn’t be. Wediko is committed to giving children and families the support they need to meet challenges, develop critical life and academic skills and feel connected to their school, their home, and their community.
Wediko’s Outpatient Practice offers collaborative, family-integrated, and trauma-informed programs for children, teens, and families. Services are provided primarily in Wediko’s Boston office. At times, services may be provided through our New York office and in local schools.
Wediko’s Outpatient Group Practice
Wediko’s Outpatient Group Practice is a trauma-informed practice that serves children and families who are referred or self-refer for outpatient therapy to manage chronic stress and complex problems. The practice is focused on helping children, adolescents, young adults, and caregivers to heal from difficult experiences by paying attention to positive connections with others, managing feelings and body sensations in a healthy way, developing skills to solve problems and accomplish goals, and making sense of how they survived past experiences and what they can do to live fully in the present. Within the overarching framework of Attachment–Self-Regulation–Competency (ARC), we offer individual therapy, play therapy, group therapy, family therapy, collaboration with other providers, and psychiatric evaluation and management.
Family-integrated support groups and group therapy
Wediko offers trauma-informed psycho-educational, mindfulness, and shared experience support groups to improve emotion regulation, affect management, and coping skills.
