Goals of our Boston School-Based Programs
Wediko is committed to delivering comprehensive services to meet the 
compelling needs of high-risk children and their families.

 Deliver school-based clinical services, case management, and crisis intervention to children, adolescents, and families who struggle to cope with complex problems of living including violence, poverty, substance abuse, loss, and upheaval.

 Collaborate with schools, social services, community agencies, juvenile justice systems, and family systems to coordinate resources essential to promoting healthy development in children, adolescents, and their families.

 Provide comprehensive consultation services to school staff who serve students with special needs.

 Teach thinking and problem-solving skills to encourage increased self-sufficiency in children and their families.

Make available school-based psychiatric consultation, medication evaluation, and comprehensive psychological assessment to children and adolescents.

 Design school-based programs which promote students' sense of self-esteem, responsibility, and mastery and which strengthen the link between school and home.

 Advocate for the needs of under-represented and seriously emotionally troubled children and their families.

 Provide multi-disciplinary clinicians with solution-focused training in the areas of trauma, violence prevention, child and family therapy, crisis intervention, learning theory, and school-based interventions.
