More about the proposal:

This grant would allow MS 363 students to participate in Wediko's Side by Side™ programming for an entire school year, building the foundation for a brighter future through weekly social skills classes. In addition, Wediko clinicians will work with school staff to provide counseling to individuals, small groups, and families as well as parent workshops & support groups, consultation to school staff on clinical issues, and professional development for school staff on bullying prevention and behavior management.

The Academy for Personal Leadership and Excellence (MS 363) is a public middle school in the South Bronx, New York which is one of the five poorest congressional districts in the United States. The Academy’s mission is committed to developing socially conscious leaders of the future, in a safe learning environment where students can take risks, achieve academic success, and demonstrate social responsibility. The staff are always looking for creative ways to improve student performance through building leadership, respect, and responsibility. Wediko and the Side by Side™program are a great fit for this school - please support the proposal with your vote!
