Wediko is strongly committed to discovering and fostering children's interests and skills. Under the guidance of trained instructors, children explore a wide range of activity areas. They learn the necessary skills to become competent swimmers, mountain bikers, artists and critical thinkers.
The program integrates new learning, facilitates creative self-expression, and cultivates aesthetic awareness. These developments open new doors to personal identity and strengthen children's capacity for listening, speaking, reading, writing and developing motor skills.
Social interaction skills are developed by presenting
children with interpersonal experiences which vary in
size, intensity and setting. Morning activities are group
centered while afternoon activities are selected by each
child. Children attend all activities in three day
stretches to provide the continuity essential for
mastery. Evening activities are geared specifically to
groups in each developmental units. Special Sunday
usually involve all the children's groups.
