Struggling children from diverse social backgrounds
find their way to Wediko.
They all share a common
denominator - each and every one of them has a history
of
difficulty coping with the daily demands of living in a
social world.
These youngsters often display significant problems in the following areas:
Forming and maintaining social relationships
Academic achievement compatible with age and ability
Controlling impulsive behavior
Demonstrating age-appropriate skills and interests
Coping with anxiety and frustration
Adjusting effectively to everyday stresses and demands
Interacting appropriately with family members
Expressing needs and feelings constructively
Mastering new developmental challenges and transitions
Boys and girls age 7-18 are
considered for admission into one of the four
developmentally based components.
Chronological
age level of social development, strengths and
interests,
psychological issues and educational
concerns all help determine the best fitting
group and program for a particular child.
